Drink of the Week: Vanilla, Pear & Vodka Cocktail

Drinks No Comments by Nicole

Fall is meant for incredible crisp and comforting flavors. Although apple may be the flavor of choice we can’t forget about the wonderfully ripe pear! And man do they smell good! This being said, how great does a pear cocktail sound paired with fresh vanilla seeds and vodka. If that doesn’t make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, I don’t know what will.

Things We Heart: Calligraphy, Robes, Doughnuts

These calligraphy stamps are amazing!!! If you are a perfectionist like I am, I get frustrated when I address an envelope and it doesn’t look just right (pathetic I know). These stamps will make your life easier by adding your return address with ease. They come in a few different styles for your viewing pleasure check them out Paper Pastries site here!

Chalkboard Glasses! These are so cute and easy for guests to keep their hands on. You can make your own like these here by using mason jars and chalkboard paint, which now comes in a variety of colors. I’ve also recently seen them at Pier One if you are looking a version you can buy.

I love this idea! Not only do matching robes make for an adorable picture of you with your girls but it doubles as a bridesmaids gift! There’s nothing quite like a silk robe to make you feel beautiful!

Providing your guests with games to play with during the reception or cocktail has really taken off. In my opinion the vintage options are the best, but you can still choose to dress it up a little by adding a monogram or your wedding colors! I love that this version even has stitching on the bag! Very detailed :)

So, as I chow down on my own own glazed donut from Saint Louis Hills Donut Shop (best in the world), I tell you it is a fabulous idea to feature a donut bar at your reception. If you think I’m crazy, think again, these puppies will disappear! If you don’t know how much I love donuts, ready this. Leave cute bags next to the table so guests can grab a couple for the road and enjoy them with their hangover in the morning :)
