Well it’s supposed to be 64 degrees here today. I’m digging it. I’m ready for summer….. and slushies filled with alcohol. I’m sure your guests will appreciate me for this :)

Riesling Strawberry Slushies

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups hulled strawberries
  • 1 bottle [750ml] dry Riesling
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Reserve 1 cup of the Riesling – cover and place in the fridge to chill.

In a food processor, puree strawberries with the remaining wine, lime juice and sugar. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. When you’re ready to serve [or drink], puree the ice cubes with the remaining wine in your blender.

Serves 6.

YUM! My family always makes frozen drinks for Thanksgiving and Christmas so no one has to stop to make cocktails during the cooking marathon. This might just be added to our list this year! Thanks!
