Fall is meant for incredible crisp and comforting flavors. Although apple may be the flavor of choice we can’t forget about the wonderfully ripe pear! And man do they smell good! This being said, how great does a pear cocktail sound paired with fresh vanilla seeds and vodka. If that doesn’t make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, I don’t know what will.

Vanilla, Pear and Vodka Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

• 12 oz (1.5 cups) pear juice
• 6 oz vodka
• 1/2 vanilla bean, seeds scraped
• vanilla sugar, for rim
• 1 cup ice, plus more to serve over

It’s definitely starting to cool down around these parts and let me just say WOW! It has been absolutely beautiful! I love all the emotions that come with fall. You get this overwhelming feeling of comfort and that is exactly why I picked this drink for the week. What is better than some yummy fall berries and fresh rosemary? Uh…nothing! (well, maybe bacon, but that’s it!)

Fall Berries and Rosemary Cooler

Makes 2 drinks

INGREDITENTS

• 8 blackberries
• 10 blueberries
• 8 raspberries
• 1/2 rosemary sprig
• Juice from one lime
• 3 tablespoons simple syrup*
• 1/4 cup vodka
• Rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Watermelon and Raspberry Lemonade

INGREDIENTS

• 6 cups watermelon cubes (seeds removed)
• 1/4 cup raspberries
• 1 cup water
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup lemon juice
• 8 oz. watermelon flavored vodka

INSTRUCTIONS

Place watermelon, raspberries and water in container of electric blender, cover and blend until smooth. Strain through fine mesh strainer into pitcher. Stir in sugar and lemon juice until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.

Makes 4 servings

Hello ladies and gents! This week we have brought you a drink with a pop of green! MMmmm and who doesn’t love kiwi!

Kiwi Fruit Collins

INGREDIENTS

• 5 ripe kiwi fruit,peeled and diced
• gomme syrup
• plenty of ice , crushed
• 500ml vodka
• 2l soda water or 7-UP
• 30 kiwi fruit slices, for decoration

INSTRUCTIONS

Muddle (mash up) the diced kiwi fruit in a 1 litre jug with the gomme syrup, then half-fill with ice. Add the vodka and lemon, stir and split between glasses. Top each glass with more ice, almost to the rim, then fill up with soda water or 7-UP, and decorate with 3 kiwi slices.
