Etsy Find Friday: All Things Teal

May 13, 2011 No Comments by Nicole

This week for Etsy Find Friday our theme is teal! Teal can be a tricky color to use for your wedding color so please use it in moderation! Teal can be beautiful but if you are choosing a bright teal try to stick to the “less is better” technique, so it’s not overpowering. Here are some great ways to add pops of the color into your wedding as well as some color combos!

Color Combinations

  • Teal, Mocha, Ivory
  • Teal, Peacock, Gold, Chocolate
  • Teal, Burnt-Orange, Blood-Orange, Tan
  • Teal, Lime, Silver
  • Teal, Lavender, Ivory
  • Teal, Pink (think peony pink)

How can you not love gingham? Give the guys something to be excited about! The tie’s are handcrafted by The Belle and The Beau and can be ordered as bow ties as well as in a variety of colors. Paper straws are becoming very popular. They offer that genuine vintage feel that a lot of people are looking for. Hey Yo Yo’s shop sells the straws in a variety of colors for only $8/ 50 straws. This is a great way to spice up your signature drink! Me being the avid soda drinker I am, I see them in glass bottles of coca-cola being passed around by waiters.

I’m IN LOVE with these earrings! They come as a set with a beautiful necklace and would really pop against your white wedding gown. If you are looking to keep things neutral for your own attire, consider giving the set to your bridesmaids as their gift. Even if they chose not to wear them the day of the wedding (Reminder: Don’t force them to!) they are a great gift they are sure to love!

These adorable boutonnieres are a great idea as an alternative to live floral pieces. They come in a set of 6, so you can distribute them to the groomsmen or other important men, like Dad’s and Grandpa’s. The boutonnieres are made of duponi silk and you can choose to include a feather, pearl or rhinestone. They come in a variety of colors, if teal isn’t for you, and for only $60, I say go for it!
